Honeyville's Dehydrated Onion can't be beat. It is light and crisp with flavors that only comes from the freshest onions. With our dehydrated onions, you can use them for any application that requires sliced onions. You can even rehydrate them in broths, pot roasts and more. Try Honeyville's dehydrated onion in anything from soups and pot roasts to casseroles and seasonings, the possibilities are endless!
Honeyville Dehydrated Onion is produced in a process where moisture is removed from the product in a special drying process. This remarkable process concentrates the fresh taste, natural color, and texture of onions in its dehydrated state.
When rehydrated, the onions will absorb the liquid and become fresh sliced onions again. The taste is great, and the nutritional food value is preserved. Dehydrating provides natural and additive free vegetables to be stored effectively for long periods of time. Honeyville Dehydrated Onion is an ideal product for long term food storage and emergency preparedness.
Shelf-Life: Dehydrated Onions will store for 10 to 15 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place).
Instructions: Add 3 parts water to 1 part onion. Allow Dehydrated Onions to hydrate for about 20 minutes or until fully rehydrated.

I bought these originally to use when I run out of onions but now use them for everything. No more peeling, chopping, no more tears. Will never be without them.

Bought some of these as a general emergency preparation plan. Also I live alone and a lot of stuff goes to waste in a single person household, shelf stable products seem like they can save me money. I've used it in a tomato and chicken curry and a spaghetti sauce so far. It is definitely a little different than using fresh onions, but nonetheless very good, if anything almost more oniony. I'm going to try rehydrating them and making a fried onion paste for a vindaloo soon, if they pass that test I will probably buy enough to never need fresh onions again.

I've used dehydrated onions for years, but Honeyville Farms' are by far the best. The dice is slightly larger than that of other manufacturers, and when cooked they look and taste just like fresh onions. I use them in meatballs and all types of soups and tomato sauces. A must in my pantry; I will never be without them.

Ok, first off...I don't even LIKE onions. I enjoy the flavor they add, but have never cared for them much for anything other than that. Now with that said...I have probably put these in just about every dish I've made since they arrived! I expected those little tiny flakes you buy at the grocery store...not these! These are large penny size chunks of onion and they are SO flavorful!! So far I've used them in soups, enchiladas, roasts and chicken and dumplings. I can already tell that this #10 can certainly won't last at this rate. Ordering more for everyday use today and extra for emergency storage. Buy these…..I promise you won't regret it!
