Each #10 can contains 1.75 pound of Dehydrated Onion.
Honeyville's Dehydrated Diced Onions are produced when moisture is removed in a special drying process. The end product weight is reduced by over 90%, while the volume stays the same. This remarkable process concentrates the fresh onion taste, natural color, and texture of fresh onion in it's dehydrated state. When re-hydrated with water dehydrated onion will maintain the texture and shape of fresh onion, with no shrinking or shriveling.
Freeze Dried and Dehydrated products are less expensive than wet pack food because you are not paying for all the water. The taste is great, and the nutritional food value is excellent. Freeze drying provides natural and additive free fruits and vegetables to be stored effectively for long periods of time. Remember Honeyville's Freeze Dried and Dehydrated fruits are stable products with a long shelf life without additives or preservatives.
Shelf Life: Dried Onion may be stored in the sealed #10 can (with included oxygen absorber packet) for 10 to 15 years under ideal storage conditions (a cool, dry place).

I've used dehydrated onions for years, but Honeyville Farms' are by far the best. The dice is slightly larger than that of other manufacturers, and when cooked they look and taste just like fresh onions. I use them in meatballs and all types of soups and tomato sauces. A must in my pantry; I will never be without them.

Ok, first off...I don't even LIKE onions. I enjoy the flavor they add, but have never cared for them much for anything other than that. Now with that said...I have probably put these in just about every dish I've made since they arrived! I expected those little tiny flakes you buy at the grocery store...not these! These are large penny size chunks of onion and they are SO flavorful!! So far I've used them in soups, enchiladas, roasts and chicken and dumplings. I can already tell that this #10 can certainly won't last at this rate. Ordering more for everyday use today and extra for emergency storage. Buy theseā¦..I promise you won't regret it!

These dried onions should be in everyone's pantry as a staple. I highly recommend them to all of you. It's nice to have a gallon of them to use whenever I need onions. I like to buy them in the Vegetable Combo package so I have all of them on hand whenever I need them. No more worrying about buying fresh vegetables with these in stock. They make excellent soups, dressings, or brown rice pilafs.
