Flavored TVP Combo

Honeyville's Flavored Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP) Combo is actually a meat analogue product made through a special extrusion process which provides a 100% vegetable product that approaches the taste and texture of meat. This highly nutritious vegetarian meat substitute is processed from defatted soy flour which contains more than 52% protein and 18% total dietary fiber. TVP has been used for many years in U.S. Food Nutritional Service programs and has been an integral part of the School Lunch program. Each of Honeyville's Flavored TVP Combo contains the following:

2 #10 cans of Honeyville Flavored-like Beef TVP
each can has 40 ¼ cup servings with 80 calories per serving - 5 pounds

2 #10 cans of Honeyville Flavored-like Chicken TVP
each can has 49 ¼ cup servings with 80 calories per serving - 5 pounds

2 #10 cans of Honeyville Unflavored TVP Granules
each can has 40 ¼ cup servings with 70 calories per serving - 4.5 pounds

Shelf-Life:  Flavored TVP Combo will store for 10 to 20 years in 6 sealed #10 cans (oxygen absorbers included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place).

Instructions:  Add one part textured vegetable protein to one part hot water. Allow TVP to hydrate for about 15 minutes. Adding ½ cup textured vegetable protein to ½ cup of water will yield about 1 cup of cooked meat substitute.

Uses:  Flavored TVP can be used separately or in combination with meat as an effective meat extender in casseroles, soups, meat sauces, pastas and more.
