Honeyville Freeze Dried Bell Peppers are produced in a process where moisture is removed from the product using a very low temperature and a vacuum. Only about 3 percent moisture remains in the product
at the time of packaging. The end product weight is reduced by over 90 percent, while the volume stays the same. This remarkable process concentrates the fresh taste, natural color, and texture of bell peppers.
When rehydrated, the product will absorb the liquid and resemble fresh bell peppers once again. The taste is great, and the nutritional value is preserved. Freeze drying provides natural and additive
free vegetables to be stored effectively for long periods of time. Honeyville Freeze Dried Bell Peppers are an ideal product for long term food storage and emergency preparedness.
Shelf-Life: Freeze Dried Bell Peppers will store for 5 to 10 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place).
Instructions: Add 3 parts water to 1 part pepper. Allow Freeze Dried Bell Peppers to hydrate for about 20 minutes or until fully rehydrated. Honeyville's Freeze Dried Bell Peppers can replace fresh prepared bell peppers at a rate of 15 to 1. That means that each can of Freeze Dried Bell Peppers is the equivalent of about 4 pounds of fresh bell peppers.
Uses: Freeze Dried Bell Peppers can be used separately or in combination with casseroles, sauces, pastas, tacos and more.

Packaging: Freeze Dried Bell Peppers are sealed air tight in a #10 can and weighs approximately 4 ounces. A case contains 6 #10 cans and weighs 1.5 pounds.
Each can contains 38 servings. One serving size is ¼ cup. Once rehydrated, a serving size comes out to about ½ cup.

Am new to honeyvile, and decided to try the peppers, #1 because I love peppers and #2 they were well priced. Our produce here can be expensive at times. $2 a PC for any color pepper besides green. After receiving them I couldn't wait to open them. They are great straight out of the can!!! A very tasty snack. They hydrate beautifully and mad my chicken and rice dish very appealing with their variety of color.

Great flavor from these bell pepppers. My family is new to using dehydrated products and I am glad I chose these peppers to try first, they have INTENSE sweet delicious flavor! I used them in an omelet this morning and bean soup this evening. They also taste great eaten by themselves. A real time saver and taste bud tickler! My husband is wanting more!

I used these in a sweet n sour chicken/shrimp/rice dish.
So easy it's unbelievable. No washing, no chopping, no 40 minutes to cookor 15 minutes to rehydrate and then cook 20 more minutes..No leftover 1/2 a pepper etc. Simply use amount needed. And the taste was sweetly mild, no bitterness. I am impressed. I'm older now, gardening gets harder every year. Freeze dried is the way to go.

These freeze dried bell peppers add delicious flavor to Italiam sausage and bell pepper spagetti sauce. Mix 1 #10 (105 oz)can tomato sauce, 12 oz tomato paste, 5 Italian sausages (sweet or hot) squeezed from skins and broken into 1 inch or smaller pieces, 1 1/2 cups honeyville freeze dried bell peppers, 1/4 cup Honeyville dehydrated onions, 1/2 cup grated parmesean cheese, 3 tbsp sugar in large crock pot/slow cooker. Cook on Low 8 hours or High for 4 hours. Serve over any kind of cooked pasta. Delicious!
