Each small can contains 2.822 ounces of Freeze Dried Blueberries.
Honeyville's Freeze Dried Blueberries are produced in a process where moisture is removed from the frozen product using a very low temperature and a vacuum. Only about 3% moisture remains in the product at the time of packaging. The end product weight is reduced by over 90%, while the volume stays the same. This remarkable process concentrates the fresh product taste, natural color, and texture of fresh product in it's freeze dried state. Freeze Dried and Dehydrated products are less expensive than wet pack food because you are not paying for all the water. Freeze Dried Blueberries can replace Fresh Prepared Blueberries at a rate of 8 to 1. The taste is great, and the nutritional food value is excellent. Freeze drying provides natural and additive free fruits and vegetables to be stored effectively for long periods of time. Remember Honeyville's Freeze Dried and Dehydrated fruits are stable products with a long shelf life without additives or preservatives.
Our blueberries are naturally delicious, with no additives, preservatives, or sugar. Great for adding some flavor and color to your breakfast cereal, in recipes that call for fruit, mixed into yogurt, or as a healthy snack right out of the can.
Each 401 Can of Freeze Dried Blueberries contains 2.822 ounces of product. 2.822 ounces of Freeze Dried Blueberries measures out to about 9 1/4 cup servings of dried berries. A 401 can measures just under 5 inches tall and is about 4 inches in diameter, or roughly the size of a pint of ice cream.
Shelf Life: Freeze Dried Blueberries may be stored in the sealed can (with included oxygen absorber packet) for 10 to 15 years under ideal storage conditions (a cool, dry place).
Editor's Notes: I'm always looking for new and different ways to get a healthy breakfast that I can prepare and eat quickly. I think I have a winner with my latest breakfast creation. I take a packet or two of instant oatmeal (wait, it gets much better), and add it to my coffee cup. I then add three tablespoons of Steel Cut Oats and two tablespoons of Freeze Dried Blueberries. I add water and microwave for a minute. The result is a chewy variation on oatmeal that has the great flavor of blueberries and sticks with me for hours. I get the benefits of a whole grain in the Steel Cut Oats along with all of the anti-oxidants in the Freezed Dried Blueberries. It tastes great and starts my day off right. Give it a try and see what you think. Freeze Dried Blueberry is also great in smoothies and you can add dried blueberries to your cereal for an added treat. Add a handful in a glass of water and you are in for a treat. I like to enjoy it about 10 minutes after they have soaked. That way you have a few crunchy ones and a few hydrated ones to chew on. Great for a dinner party to add a beautiful splash of color to water. Refreshing and healthy for you. LOVE IT!

This is the first time I have tried freeze dried fruit. I tossed a handful over my cheerios and poured on the milk. They were delicious! Then I tried making pancake topping with them. Even better. I have been hooked.

These freeze dried blueberries are a great snack out of the can. Rehydrated they are big and plump, used them to make muffins that were great.
