Freeze Dried Blueberries LARGE CAN

Each #10 Can contains 12 ounces of Freeze Dried Blueberries.

Honeyville's Freeze Dried Blueberries are produced in a process where moisture is removed from the frozen product using a very low temperature and a vacuum. Only about 3% moisture remains in the product at the time of packaging. The end product weight is reduced by over 90%, while the volume stays the same. This remarkable process concentrates the fresh product taste, natural color, and texture of fresh product in it's freeze dried state. Freeze Dried and Dehydrated products are less expensive than wet pack food because you are not paying for all the water. Freeze Dried Blueberries can replace Fresh Prepared Blueberries at a rate of 8 to 1. That means that each can of Honeyville's Freeze Dried Blueberry is the equivalent of about 6 pounds of Fresh Blueberry.The taste is great, and the nutritional food value is excellent. Each # 10 Can of Freeze Dried Blueberries contains 12 ounces of product.  12 ounces of Freeze Dried Blueberries measures out to about 40 1/4 cup servings of dried berries.  A #10 can measures 7 inches tall and is a little over 6 inches in diameter, or roughly the size of a large coffee can.

Shelf Life:  Freeze Dried Blueberries may be stored in the sealed #10 can (with included oxygen absorber packet) for 10 to 15 years under ideal storage conditions (a cool, dry place). 

Editor's Notes:  I'm always looking for new and different ways to get a healthy breakfast that I can prepare and eat quickly.  I think I have a winner with my latest breakfast creation.  I take a packet or two of instant oatmeal (wait, it gets much better), and add it to my coffee cup.  I then add three tablespoons of Steel Cut Oats and two tablespoons of Freeze Dried Blueberries.  I add water and microwave for a minute.  The result is a chewy variation on oatmeal that has the great flavor of blueberries and sticks with me for hours.  I get the benefits of a whole grain in the Steel Cut Oats along with all of the anti-oxidants in the Freezed Dried Blueberries.  It tastes great and starts my day off right.  Give it a try and see what you think.
