Honeyville's Freeze Dried Broccoli is light and crisp, while the flavors have the perfect balance of sweet and tart that only comes from the freshest broccoli.
You can use them for any application that calls for broccoli, including eating them right out of the can as a healthy snack. Honeyville's freeze dried broccoli is great for side dishes, casseroles, stir fry, soups,
the possibilities are endless!
Honeyville Freeze Dried Broccoli is produced in a process where moisture is removed from the product using a very low temperature and a vacuum. Only about 3 percent moisture remains in the product
at the time of packaging. The end product weight is reduced by over 90 percent, while the volume stays the same. This remarkable process concentrates the fresh taste, natural color, and texture of broccoli.
When rehydrated, the product will absorb the liquid and resemble fresh broccoli once again. The taste is great, and the nutritional value is preserved. Freeze drying provides natural and additive
free vegetables to be stored effectively for long periods of time. Honeyville Freeze Dried Broccoli is an ideal product for long term food storage and emergency preparedness.
Shelf-Life: Freeze Dried Broccoli will store for 5 to 10 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place).
Instructions: Add 3 parts water to 1 part broccoli. Allow Freeze Dried Broccoli to hydrate for about 20 minutes or until fully rehydrated. Honeyville's Freeze Dried Broccoli can replace fresh prepared broccoli at a rate of 13 to 1. That means that each can of Freeze Dried Broccoli is the equivalent of about 5 pounds of fresh broccoli.
Uses: Freeze Dried Broccoli can be used separately or in combination with casseroles, stir fry, pastas, soups and more.

This is excellent, easy and tastes like fresh. I did not have any kind of 'after taste' as someone else mentioned. It tastes mild, not bitter just tastes good. I am so happy with it and so is my spouse. Me, because of the ease and my spouse because it tastes so good. I ordered a case. So glad I did.

Great Alone or in pre-(home)made Dinner Mixes

We are fans of broccoli and this is no exception. Our grandkids hate it, but they eat it at our house! I like to make dinner mixes for nights when I am short on time. I usually pair rice or dehydrated potato slices with veggies, spices and sometimes powdered butter. I seal them with my Foodsaver and just pull out a bag, add water, meat & simmer for 20 minutes. The perfect dinner for busy nights. This broccoli goes in anything. We love it in stir fry, mac & cheese, and any one pot dinner. Grab a handful & start creating your own favorite recipes.
When one reviewer mentioned an aftertaste, we were curious. So I polled my family & house guests after eating it last night and zero of 15 people noticed an aftertaste that evening or the next day. Perhaps his can was older or perhaps we just like broccoli more?

I like the Broccoli well enough, and will continue to buy it, but I find that it leaves a strange aftertaste that lasts until the next day. It's not bad, or I wouldn't continue to eat it. I just found it unusual.
I do find using this broccoli to be very convenient, and I use it routinely in my stir fry, and lentil/rice dishes.

This product is great! I have used it in casseroles and you could not tell the difference. It has the taste and slight texture of steamed broccoli once you have rehydrated the dried product. I am excited to try it in soups.
