Honeyville’s Freeze Dried Chicken contains no additives or preservatives and is easy to prepare. Every Honeyville Freeze Dried Meat is inspected by the USDA for wholesomeness. Honeyville Rancher’s Cut Freeze Dried White Chicken is an ideal product for long term food storage and emergency preparedness.
Shelf-Life: Freeze Dried White Chicken will store for 10 to 15 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place). Once opened, freeze dried meat should be used within 1 month if refrigerated, 1 week if not.
Instructions: Add 1 cup of boiling water to ½ cup of Freeze Dried Chicken. Stir once, cover and let stand for 5 to 7 minutes. Drain off excess water and use the chicken as you would use fresh chicken.
Uses: Freeze Dried White Chicken can be used to make enchiladas, soups, salads, pastas and more.

Packaging: Freeze Dried White Chicken is sealed air tight in a #10 can and weighs approximately 1.5 pounds. A case contains 6 #10 cans and weighs 9 pounds.

I use this often and it doesn't disappoint. As others have said, it would be difficult to tell the end result came from freeze-dried chicken. Keep in mind that as with non-freeze-dried chicken, it's easy to overcook. While there is usually a fair bit of "chicken powder" in the can I consider it a bonus for casseroles, soups, etc.

This was my first time to order online the freeze dried chicken to use in Chef Tess' meals in jars. I was very disapointed in the quality of this product. I maybe had 4 to 5 cups of chicken pieces. The rest was powder. Don't know if I would order this product again, maybe it was just a bad can.

We tried this at a local retail business. You would have never known it was dehydrated(freeze dried) chicken, onions and celery in the chicken salad it just needed a little salt. I am now ordering other items from Honeyville. Very tasty, thank you for such
high quality foods.
