Shelf-Life: Freeze Dried White Chicken will store for 10 to 15 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place). Once opened, freeze dried meat should be used within 1 month if refrigerated, 1 week if not.
Instructions: Add 1 cup of boiling water to ½ cup of Freeze Dried Chicken. Stir once, cover and let stand for 5 to 7 minutes. Drain off excess water and use the chicken as you would use fresh chicken.
Uses: Freeze Dried White Chicken can be used to make enchiladas, soups, salads, pastas and more.

I haven't used it in everything yet, had to buy another can, but everything I tried it in works great.
Tastes great. Will be a nice addition to our camping and hiking meals.

I have four cats that love freeze dried chicken. So much so that we call it Cat Crack. It seemed as if I was constantly running to the store to buy 4 oz bags of this stuff and paying a small fortune for each bag. This #10 can will last for quite awhile and will make four cats extremely happy. They get chunks as treats, which is much better than processed treats full of corn and wheat and other things cats absolutely don't need. Some of it gets crushed and sprinkled on their wet food, which is also a great way to get picky cats to eat their food. My boss' dog also loves this. I have never used freeze dried chicken myself but I do plan on trying it at least once to make chicken salad.
The only bad thing about this is that as the chunks shift around during shipping they break down into powder. This may not be great if you're feeding it to your family but it's great if you want some powdered chicken for your pets' food.

This chicken is wonderful, I have used it in making soup, salads, sandwiches, and casserols. The chicken is tender and delicious, even my picky eaters really like this chicken.
