When re-hydrated with water the product will maintain the texture and shape of fresh cheese, with no shrinking or shriveling. The taste is great, and the nutritional food value is preserved. Shelf-Life: Freeze Dried Mozzarella Cheese will store for 5 to 10 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place).

Instructions: Mix 1 tablespoon of mozzarella cheese to 2 tablespoons of warm water. Allow Freeze Dried Mozzarella Cheese to hydrate for about 5 minutes or until fully rehydrated. Honeyville Freeze Dried Mozzarella Cheese can replace fresh prepared cheese at a rate of 4 to 1. That means that each can of Freeze Dried Mozzarella Cheese is the equivalent of about 7 pounds of fresh mozzarella cheese.
