Honeyville's Freeze Dried Mushrooms are light and thin from freshly sliced mushrooms and taste remarkable. Did you know that mushrooms have more potassium than bananas?
They are full of potassium and low in fat, sodium and calories, making mushrooms both healthy and diet-friendly. Use dried mushrooms for sauces, casseroles,
pizza toppings, soups, the possibilities are endless!
Honeyville Freeze Dried Mushrooms are produced in a process where moisture is removed from the product using a very low temperature and a vacuum. Only about 3 percent moisture remains in the product
at the time of packaging. The end product weight is reduced by over 90 percent, while the volume stays the same. This remarkable process concentrates the fresh taste, natural color, and texture of mushrooms.
When rehydrated, the product will absorb the liquid and resemble fresh mushrooms once again. The taste is great, and the nutritional value is preserved. Freeze drying provides natural and additive
free vegetables to be stored effectively for long periods of time. Honeyville Freeze Dried Mushrooms are an ideal product for long term food storage and emergency preparedness.
Shelf-Life: Freeze Dried Mushrooms will store for 10 to 15 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place).
Instructions: Add 3 parts water to 1 part mushroom. Allow Freeze Dried Mushrooms to hydrate for about 20 minutes or until fully rehydrated. Honeyville's Freeze Dried Mushrooms can replace fresh prepared mushrooms at a rate of 16 to 1. That means that each can of Freeze Dried Mushrooms is the equivalent of about 4 pounds of fresh mushrooms.
Uses: Freeze Dried Mushrooms can be used separately or in combination with casseroles, spaghettis, pastas, pizza toppings and more.

These were part of an original purchase from honeyville. Not really knowing where to start, I started with mushrooms, peppers, zucchini, and egg whites. I know wierd combo, but I was thinking I would get things I use a lot of, not out of the box items I might not ever use. The mushrooms rehydrate beautifully, as do the peppers and zucchini. Fresh out of the can they had a great taste and (if you like mushrooms, I'm assuming you do or you wouldn't have ordered them) they are a great snack.

My first time buying from Honeyville. The potato slices, cheese sauce, mushrooms are the best I've come across in 70 years. I will be buying much more in the future as well as a wider variety of both fruits and vegetables.Thank you for a very easy and pleasent
meal in this hot weather.
I made chicken vegetable soup with mushrooms and rice noodles while I was recovering from a fractured rib, easy quick and yummy.

I've bought two cans of the freeze dried mushrooms and both times have been pleased wit their taste. The texture is good too.
I love mushrooms but not always was I able to eat them all up before they went bad. Now I don't have the problem as I have taken to using the Honeyville dried mushrooms instead. The mushrooms taste just like fresh when used in cooking. I don't bother with re-hydrating them as they cook up nicely straight from the can.
Recommend.

They taste good, and are easy to use in soups and recipes. No washing & peeling & slicing, just throw them in! They cook up great! I use them all the time, now. (Just a side note, when I open a can of freeze dried veggies or fruit, I pour the contents into a gallon ziploc bag, then put the bag back in the can, seal the bag, then put the plastic lid on the can. They will stay fresh longer.)

I love mushrooms, but am the only person in my household that eats them. The fresh ones go bad before I can eat them, so I waste a lot of money. These are great straight out of the can, or excellent rehydrated. This is a pantry staple!
