Honeyville's Rancher’s Cut Freeze Dried Sausage is made from 100% North American pork. Rancher’s Cut meats are diced, cooked, and freeze dried for great tasting pork sausage and extended shelf life. The main source of protein in the average daily diet comes from meat, so Honeyville’s freeze dried meats are an important storage item for emergency preparedness. Honeyville’s Freeze Dried Sausage contains no additives or preservatives and is easy to prepare. Every Honeyville Freeze Dried Meat is inspected by the USDA for wholesomeness. Honeyville Rancher’s Cut Freeze Dried Sausage is an ideal product for long term food storage and emergency preparedness.
Shelf-Life: Freeze Dried Sausage will store for 10 to 15 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place). Once opened, freeze dried meat should be used within 1 month if refrigerated, 1 week if not.

I bought a case of this after reading the reviews. This sausage is awesome. It's easy to cook and it had very good flavor. We have used almost a can in two weeks. I plan on buying more in the near future.

Tried this at a friends and and couldn't wait to get home and order some of my own. I've been checking back at this site often to order a can of sausage and a few other things and I'm very disapointed that the sausage is still not available.
Honeyville, please get your act together!

Spouse really likes this sausage too. After opening, and using what I wanted, I split up the remaining large can into pint size jars, vacuum sealed them so I don't have to worry about using it up quickly.
Sausage is now sold in 12 oz, not 16 oz sizes around here. By the time you count how much water was added to the roll of sausage, and how much fat fries out, and how long you can store it, buying this freeze dried sausage is economical.
Very happy with it.

See my post on single cans. This is an excellent product. There is no negative about it. Tastes great, mild, but not bland at all, is easy to use. I am extremely happy with it. So happy that after I had bought a couple of cans, and actually tried it, I came back and bought a case. Best price I had found was here on Honeyville.

We love this product so much it's easy to rotate and hard to save, my favorite way to use it is with alfredo sauce and lasonga noodles. We also use it in casseroles with boiled cubed potatoes then sausage, next scrambled eggs and last con ca so cheese or cheese wiz, bake and enjoy!
