Honeyville's Freeze Dried Vegetable Mix is light and crisp, while the flavors have the perfect balance of sweet and tart that only comes from the freshest vegetables. You can use them for any application that calls for vegetables, including eating them right out of the can as a healthy snack. Honeyville's freeze dried vegetable mix is great for casseroles, side dishes, soups, pot roasts, the possibilities are endless!

Honeyville Freeze Dried Vegetable Mix is produced in a process where moisture is removed from the product using a very low temperature and a vacuum. Only about 3 percent moisture remains in the product at the time of packaging. The end product weight is reduced by over 90 percent, while the volume stays the same. This remarkable process concentrates the fresh taste, natural color, and texture of vegetables.

When rehydrated, the product will absorb the liquid and resemble fresh vegetables once again. The taste is great, and the nutritional value is preserved. Freeze drying provides natural and additive free vegetables to be stored effectively for long periods of time. Honeyville Freeze Dried Vegetable Mix is an ideal product for long term food storage and emergency preparedness.

Shelf-Life:  Freeze Dried Vegetable Mix will store for 5 to 10 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place).

Great mix for the price

Over all a great product. Re hydrates fast, great flavor. Only thing is that the carrots don't seem to hold the orange color, but in a soup or casserole that is not noticeable.

Quite happy with this mix
Rebecca (G) 11/15/2012 3:06 PM
I must say that we are very happy with these mixed vegetables. We eat alot of soups and these are perfect for that. I have not tried cooking and eating them simply as veggies, because it was my intent all along to use them in soups.

Mixed Vegs.
Charlotte Moore (Georgia) 10/31/2012 7:15 AM
I was so disappointed in the mixed vegetables I ordered. I made soup and all I could taste was the bell pepper. Could not even see the carrots. Had way too many peas also.I thought it had okra in it but it did not. Such a disappointment.

Tastes Great!
John (Northern CA) 8/24/2012 8:39 AM
I put this in as a vegetable in my backpacking recipes. A couple things I found in the process. It says 1-3 mixture veggies to water. that is way too much water. 1-2 was even water heavy. the 1-3 would work if you just cooked them, then drained the water. the veggies came back to life and tasted great. the can was pretty full which was nice. It's a bummer opening a can to find it half full. this wasn't the case. You really need to mix the veggies up to get a good mix, otherwise it tends to be carrot/pepper heavy they are lighter and tend to dwell on top. This will be a standard in all my backpack recipes. Ordering more.

Makes Meatloaf Better
Anna Jackson (California) 1/27/2012 7:27 AM
When I originally bought this, I intended to use it as a crunchy snack for my kids. I was hoping to get them to eat more veggies this way. However, for that purpose, I would have been better off to go with the corn or peas alone, as the carrots are not as easy to eat as a snack in their dehydrated state. However I have found that it's easy to add a bit of this to my meat loaf recipe and get the kids to eat some extra veggies that way. Plus, my hubby says it made my usual meatloaf recipe better! :) 1 (pound) lean ground beef 1 (package) sleeve crushed yellow crackers (such as Ritz) 1 (6 ounce can) tomato paste 1 (whole) egg 1 (envelope) onion soup mix 1/2 (cup) Honeyville Dehydrated Veggie Mix 1/3 (cup) ketchup Combine all ingredients except ketchup. Form the mixture into a loaf shape on a cookie sheet. Press a small groove into the top of the meatloaf and fill with ketchup down the the length of it. Cook in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes, or until cooked through.
