No Trans Fats Here

I work at Honeyville and thought I should address the trans fat issue. The milk substitute recipe was changed about 5 years ago to a trans fat free version. We neglected to update the ingredient listing on the site and have since corrected that. Also, the can label is being redesigned and should reflect the most up to date info. Sorry for the confusion. Your feedback is what makes our products the best.

No matter what the taste, anything with the words "hydrogenated" on the ingredients is not fit for human consumption. Please find a way to make your products without resorting to the use of these dangerous trans fats. It's the most unhealthy fat there is!

I've been using 1% milk forever and started to have problems with it. I am also house bound most of the time and can't get milk so tried this. I LOVE it! It kinda reminds me of baby formula, but when used in smoothies from scratch, it is great! IO had protein powders and MSM and just about anything I feel like it for a stomach disorder called Gastroparesis. Means my stomach does not empty correctly so food needs to be blended and ground. YUCK! This substitute makes digestion easier and adds a nice texture to the smoothies along with vitamins.
I would suggest anyone who hates milk or has a problem with milk to try it out. It certainly works for me. However this is made, it takes away the pain and problems of real milk for me. Plus it is always here when I want some. May not go well in cereal or for dipping cookies for some, but a little Splenda makes it even better. I recently went back to milk when I ran out of the powder and started to get sick again.
I think it is worth the price to try it if you don't like milk and I am on a fixed income. DAG

Milk Alternative

We bought this in the 6-combo. As a fresh milk alternative, the flavor of this is better than all-soy non-dairy creamer, but not as good as a powdered milk. It mixes very well into baked goods. The smell and the texture of the powder reminds me very much of non-dairy creamer. If I were buying for emergency use, I think this would be a good investment. For use as a staple, this does not fit our needs.
