Honeyville's Medium Oat Bran is produced from dehulled, cleaned, high quality stabilized oat groats. Oats are high in vitamin B-1 and contain a good amount of vitamins B-2 and E. Oat bran is the outer casing of the oat and is particularly high in soluble fiber, which is thought to be a leading contender in the fight against high cholesterol. Our oat bran comes in several variations usually denoted by a number following the name. Medium Oat Bran #140 is our finest grain. Honeyville Medium Oat Bran is an ideal product for long term food storage and emergency preparedness.
Shelf-Life: Medium Oat Bran will store for 1 year in a sealed 50 pound bag under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place).

I've really enjoyed this product, I use it in brand muffins of many different varieties. I fine it to be a slightly courser texture than typical store bought (Quaker)oat brand. The added texture makes for a harder muffin that everybody in my family really likes.
I'm going to try the Honeyville's Blended Oat Brand next.
