Honeyville's Powdered Cheese Sauce is a great tasting cheese that takes only minutes to make. Simply mix cheese powder with hot water and you are ready to enjoy yummy cheese sauce that's creamy and delectable. Whether your making a potato casserole, macaroni and cheese, or broccoli and cheese, powdered cheese sauce is your number one source for all cheesy recipes. Powdered cheese requires no refrigeration, so it is ideal for camping trips and traveling. Honeyville Powdered Cheese Sauce is an ideal product for long term food storage and emergency preparedness.

Shelf-Life:  Powdered Cheese Sauce will store for 3 to 5 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place). Once opened, it has an average shelf life of 6 to 12 months.

Instructions:  Add 1 part powdered cheese to 4 parts hot water and mix well. The texture and flavor can change with more or less water. Let the blended cheese sauce stand for 3 to 5 minutes. Stir and enjoy.

Uses:  Powdered Cheese Sauce can be used to make a yummy cheese sauce, or in combination with dips, Sauces, toppings and more.

Packaging:  Powdered Cheese Sauce is sealed air tight in a #10 can and weighs approximately 3 pounds. A case contains 6 #10 cans and weighs 18 pounds. Each can contains 41 servings. One serving size is ¼ cup.

Ingredients:  Whey, Corn and/or wheat starch-modified, cheddar and blue cheese (pasteurized milk, salt, annatto extract, cheese culture, enzymes), partially hydrogenated soybean oil, salt, nonfat milk, natural and artificial flavors, lactic acid, disodium phosphate, msg, yellow 5, yellow 5 lake, yellow 6, Yellow 6 lake. Contains less than 2% silicon dioxide as an anti-caking agent and less than 2% disodium phosphate as a processing aid.

Allergen information:  Contains milk, soy, and wheat. This product is produced on equipment that processes products containing soy, wheat, egg, peanut, and tree nuts.

I've been looking for a cheddar cheese blend. Voila it was in my pantry the whole time! Here's the deal. Trust me, my food groups are sugar, sugar, sugar, sugar and oh did I mention SUGAR! I'm the fussiest eater in the world. So this cheese sauce is in POWDER form. It's wonderful. I just had the best microwave popcorn--I sprayed on that cooking spray and used lots of this cheese powder. YUM is all I can say. Later I'll try Mac and cheese, but I think I'm good. The best recipe I've seen is 1/4 cheese, 1/4 milk and 1/4 butter. And you can add more cheese powder to taste! Next month I'm buying a case and putting it in my pantry. It's a new STAPLE for my house! I am so glad I finally opened this can. I don't have a #10 lid so I've put it in those rubber cans with lids and have stored it in the fridge for now. Don't think it'll last long with me! Happy eating!

I was skeptical about powdered cheese sauce. Reconstitution with water sounded gross, to be honest. So I can't tell you how surprised I was when I got the can (in one day, no less) and tried it out. It was actually pretty good...not as good as my homemade cheese sauce, but also much easier and cheaper to prepare. And I'm thinking with a few additiions, this will make some fine cheese sauces in the future.

I bought this product because my grandson liked the powdered cheese in the macaroni & cheese boxes. Made some macaroni & cheese for him and he loved it. Ate two bowls. Then I made a chicken spaghetti recipe that usually uses Cheez Whiz. It also turned out amazing. Can't tell the difference. The only thing is that the 4-1 ratio makes a pretty thin sauce. I used a 2 or 3-1 ratio instead. Turned out great. Will be keeping this on hand.

At home it gets a 4.5, on the road, its a pure 5. Dips, pastas, soups, etc.... Anywhere cheese sauce is used, this can be used. Easy to make thick or thin by adjusting water added.

Ok, I see why it got a bad review, at a 4 to 1 mixture with water its pretty bland, drop it down to about a 2 to 1 mixture and it starts gettin' cheesey.
