Good stuff
Terry Pack (Ohio) 12/30/2011 12:14 PM
At home it gets a 4.5, on the road, its a pure 5. Dips, pastas, soups, etc.... Anywhere cheese sauce is used, this can be used. Easy to make thick or thin by adjusting water added.

Not at 4 to 1
Eric J (Long Beach) 11/7/2011 8:05 PM
Ok, I see why it got a bad review, at a 4 to 1 mixture with water its pretty bland, drop it down to about a 2 to 1 mixture and it starts gettin' cheesey.

Pretty good

I use this together with dehydrated potato dices to make a copy of the name brand Au Gratin potato mix. It works well, just remember it's the cheese only without the salt and spices you may be used to. Personally, I like this, since I can season it to my own taste.

Surprisingly good!
Wolf (People's Republic of New Jersey) 9/10/2011 3:53 PM
Cheese in a can? I wasn't expecting much. How good could this stuff be? Well, it is really, really good! I made some as a topping for baked potatoes, and it tasted like the real thing. Next stop was macaroni and cheese - passed with flying colors. All in all this product tastes better than that famous "V" product that comes in a box, at a fraction of the cost. Also, the 3:1 ratio is more economical than other competing powder products that need 2:1 or more. I'm ordering more. Wolfie's easy M&C recipie: take 1 lb whole wheat pasta, drain, and refill original pot w/ 3 cups clean boiling water. Take 1 cup of cheese powder and 1 cup of rehydrated (or fresh) ground beef or sausage. Mix all ingredients well. Fold in 1 can of diced or stewed tomatoes, cut up. Tabasco to taste. Feeds the whole work crew!

Yum!

Very easy to prepare and taste great. I used this cheese sauce with the potato slices and some chopped ham to make a big pan of cheesy potatoes that my entire family loved! It couldn't have been any easier and would be great camping etc. I will be using this for many, many dishes!
