Honeyville's Powdered Whole Eggs are produced exclusively from fresh eggs harvested from chickens in the United States. When blended with water, Powdered Whole Eggs may be used as a direct substitute for fresh eggs in any baking recipe. Our whole egg powder reconstitutes into a product similar to fresh whipped eggs.

Originally developed for use in the military, Powdered Whole Eggs are produced though a special process designed to provide a free flowing powder that has been pasteurized for your safety. Powdered Whole Eggs are dried and pasteurized in the USA for optimal quality and safety. Honeyville Powdered Whole Eggs are an ideal product for long term food storage and emergency preparedness.

Shelf-Life:  Powdered Whole Eggs will store for up to 3 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place).

Instructions:  To reconstitute one egg, mix 2 tablespoons of Powdered Whole Eggs with 4 tablespoons of water. When using with other dry ingredients, it is not necessary to reconstitute egg. Simply add to dry ingredients and increase water measurements in mixture to necessary amount. Honeyville's Powdered Whole Eggs are equivalent to about 80 large fresh whole eggs in each can.

Uses:  Powdered Whole Eggs can be used for anything that calls for eggs in the recipe, including baked goods, omelets, scrambled eggs and more.

Great for baking, but makes weird scrambled eggs
Laura (northern California) 4/14/2013 11:21 PM
I've been using these for baking in a pinch and they've worked great. I made a cake with them tonight and the batter looked a little separated at first, but came together and looked normal by the end. The cake came out great. Ive had similar success with other baking recipes. I was inspired to have a snack as the cake was cooling and thought I'd try these as scrambled eggs. That was less successful. They don't really smell like much of anything, the color is a little darker than fresh eggs, and the texture is off - kind of spongy and water was seeping out of them. It might be worth another shot. Maybe when I'm camping and I'm really hungry I'll try it again. Maybe with a little less water than it calls for, and some freeze dried monterey jack (which is awesome).

not working
Ashlee (Hasnas) 1/29/2013 1:30 PM
I have tried making several batches of these, and yes I follow the directions, but they come out looking like oatmeal and not eggs. I dont know what I am doing wrong, and figured posting here may help me fix this issue. The eggs are NOT expired, and we just opened them a few days ago. I tried baking with them, and tried making 5 batches of eggs. NOT WORKING!!! HELP ME

Regular Item

I first bought this because we were making a large quantity of flax pancake mix and I wanted it to only require water. Went over so well that I always keep a can in the pantry.

GOOD FOR MAKING YOUR OWN MIXES
tasha-kitty (carmel valley) 10/8/2012 8:24 PM
I like to use these to prepare my own pancake mix for camping, etc. much easier than carrying and handling fresh eggs, and taste is not affected. I have also added to large egg casseroles, etc., where it takes a lot of eggs. I don't use them alone, but do mix them in with real eggs. Being shelf stable, they are handy anytime you need eggs in a pinch!
