Honeyville's Powdered Whole Eggs are produced exclusively from fresh eggs harvested from chickens in the United States. The eggs are dried and pasteurized in the USA for optimal quality and safety. Powdered Whole Eggs are produced though a special process designed to provide a free flowing powder that has been pasteurized for your safety.
Originally developed for use in the military, our whole egg powder, when blended with water, reconstitutes into a product similar to fresh whipped eggs. These reconstituted eggs may then be used as a direct substitute for fresh eggs. Honeyville Powdered Whole Eggs are an ideal product for long term food storage and emergency preparedness.
Shelf-Life: Powdered Whole Eggs will store for up to 3 years in a sealed #10 can (oxygen absorber included) under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place).
Instructions: To reconstitute one egg, mix 2 tablespoons of Powdered Whole Eggs with 4 tablespoons of water. When using with other dry ingredients, it is not necessary to reconstitute egg. Simply add to dry ingredients and increase water measurements in mixture to necessary amount. Honeyville's Powdered Whole Eggs are equivalent to about 80 large fresh whole eggs in each can.
Uses: Powdered Whole Eggs can be used for anything that calls for eggs in the recipe, including baked goods, omelets, scrambled eggs and more.

I got this pretty quickly after ordering and tried them straight away. They actually tasted no different than fresh eggs. I am the type that never finishes a container of food before it expires, so I started buying this long term storage stuff. In the end, it actually makes it cheaper for me.

Living in hurricane alley, it's not unusual for us to lose power in the summer time... even if the storm isn't right near us. I bought a can of these eggs to have on hand and was HIGHLY skeptical on how "good" they would be.
Let me just tell you, I was HIGHLY impressed. I reconstituted "a couple of eggs" and decided to scramble them to see how it really tasted. I decided not to even add milk; on a little salt and pepper. They were amazing. Something I will have on hand forever now! If they were that good ALONE, I know they'll be awesome in cooking dishes.

The quality, price and fast shipping make this an ideal product for omelets and cooking cakes and cookies. I made scrambled eggs yesterday for one of my most finicky eaters and didn't tell her they were powdered eggs until after she ate them all. Will be buying a couple more cases soon.
thx!

This is a great product!! It acts even more like fresh eggs if you mix and refridgerate overnight.
If used this way it will be more like fresh beaten eggs. I have used this extensively for "cookie in a jar gifts" and after layering use a home sealer on the jars and give as gifts. It is a great product!
