The vegetable cook very nicely in a rice cooker, which is a type of pressure cooker. The carrots, celery, everythings comes out looking freshly cooked. Just put the vegetables and water in the rice cooker with some salt and seasonings (pepper, bouillion, cooked meat, etc.) and let it cook for an hour. Turn off the rice cooker and you have soup ready to eat! My only complaint is the potato flakes. You really have to doctor them up, otherwise they're tasteless.

Ok, I gave this a 3-star rating because I was disappointed about a couple of things. The celery was nothing like I had imagined - I think it will be good in soups, but more as an herb. It is NOTHING like fresh celery when re-hydrated. The carrot pieces, I thought, were too small, but the taste is pretty good and the color is pretty. The onions are basically the same as the dried onion flakes you buy in the spice shelf. The peas are good, but be sure to add enough water, and it doesn't seem to work well to microwave them since some seem to dry out. The beans were very good - interesting to eat dry, and very good when cooked up. The potato flakes are basically instant potatoes - they are good, and pretty good even without using the milk and margarine or butter that you use with the store-bought kind. But the corn, the corn. It's like nature's candy. I tried some out of the can because I read that it's good, but it was beyond good! My advice? Buy several cans of the corn. BTW, I also bought the potato slices. I liked them, in part because they are no work and they stay firm. I made veggie German potato salad and it was delicious!

Thank you for your excellent products! One suggestion - have you ever considered offering a combination can of peas, corn, and carrots to be used in soups, casseroles, etc.? It seems the next logical step - open one can and have three veggies in one place. I hope to see this soon!

Amazing

The corn and peas are delicious right out of the can as a snack. I used the corn, peas, carrots, celery and onion in a pasta dish and nobody could tell that I hadn't used fresh. I'm not sure the celery really added much but maybe I didn't use enough or it was overpowered by the seasonings I used. The potato flakes are pretty good too. I would order this product again.

Fantastic vegetables!

I can hardly believe how good the freeze-dried carrots, green beans, and peas taste! They are just as good as fresh, only with crunch. I eat them right from the can. Infinitely tastier than dehydrated, in my opinion, and instant to use. Add hot water! I throw handfuls into many dishes, saving me work, and keeping me from having leftover cans half full in the refrigerator. I keep checking back here, waiting for the freeze-dried carrots and green beans to come back in stock. Eagerly waiting.

Great to keep in your pantry to have vegetables whenever needed

It's very convenient to just be able to reach in a gallon can and take out a handful of several dried vegetables to use in soups or brown rice pilafs. They don't take long to cook, and taste just as good as fresh vegetables. I highly recommend this vegetable combo.
