Freeze Dried Apples LARGE CAN

Most freeze dried apples I have had have been very sweet. These are very different -- they have the tart taste of a granny smith. I like the sweet ones, too, but they are really only good for snacking as-is. This is a nice change of pace and works better for putting in things like oatmeal.

like the blueberries i add these also to my oatmeal while its rehyd. extra water makes everything plump up and creamy and smooth. the great thing is the apples create an apple pie aroma in the kitchen and i only use about an 1/8 cup. the apples are sweet and tart but not too tart. great prduct. with honeyville products i use only what i eat at the time so no waste. was also able to downsize to a 2.5 cubic freezerless fridge, energy saver, my electric bill has downsized also. thanks honeyville....

I love freeze dried apples but the ones I've had in the past were all thin slices. The size & texture ended up being more like potato chips. I was actually pleased to see that the Honeyville apples were chunks but I was disappointed in the texture. Unlike all of the other freeze dried products I've bought, these apples are not crunchy at all. They end up being somewhat chewy, but not chewy enough like dehydrated apples. I'm sure they'll be great in oatmeal but for snacking right out of the can I prefer some of the other fruits.

These apples are great. They are flavorful and perfect for an on the go snack. I often pack snack bags of Cheerios as an emergency stash for the kids when we are out and these apples have recently joined the stash. The diced size is great for toddlers and preschoolers.

These are hard to put away and not keep eating them out of the can. Surprised at how good freeze dried fruit is in general and impressed with these apples. I will be trying almost all of Honeyville's freeze dried fruits - awesome!

These apples are so yummy! I love the light, airy, and slightly crunchy texture and they are full of flavor. My kids and I absolutely love to snack on them.
