Honeyville's Steel Cut Oats have been carefully selected from premium milling quality oats. Steel cut oats are really the best of the best when it come to getting the most out of a whole grain oat. Of all of the varieties of oats on the market (rolled oats, instant oats, quick oats, etc.), steel cut oats are the best choice. Steel cut oats maintain all of the nutrients from the whole grain oat as they are simply whole oat groats that have been cut into small pieces. Steel Cut Oats are a rich source of soluble fiber, protein, and vitamins, as well as other nutrients like selenium, thiamin, phosphorous, and manganese. Honeyville Steel Cut Oats are an ideal product for long term food storage and emergency preparedness.
Shelf-Life: Steel Cut Oats will store for 1 year in a sealed 50 pound bag under ideal storage conditions (cool, dry place).
Instructions: For hot cereal, add 1 part oats to 6 parts boiling water. Reduce heat to medium and continue cooking for up to 45 minutes stirring occasionally. In the final 15 minutes, reduce heat to low and stir as needed.

I paid less than $1 a pound for the Steel Cut Oats from you all, and compared to my local vendor for these, Fresh Market, there's just no comparison.

As an amateur bodybuilder I go through about six and a half pounds of these oats a week. Easily the most inexpensive and convenient way to get steel cut oats anywhere. You guys save me a fortune.

I bought the 50lb bag and split it with a neighbor. What a great deal. I know she was paying $7+ for that Irish one in the grocery store and I was paying $1.39-$1.49lb in the bulk section. I have used 5 lbs so far and they are perfect!

I buy the 50 Lb. sack of steel cut oats and when I cook them I cook three cups of oats and 6 cups of water in a large pot on medium heat until the oats are firm and the water has been absorbed by the oats. When the oats have cooled I place them in a quart size plastic container which I keep in the referigator and eat for breakfast every day. All I need to do is spoon out the amount I want into a bowl and add raisins or dried apricots and put the bowl in the microave for 3 minutes. Then I sprinkle ground cinnamon on the top and mix vanilla rice milk, which I buy at Trader Joe's, with it and enjoy a breakfast that lasts until lunch. Steel cut oats are the most healthy oats for one to eat and when I first tried them I got hooked on them and won't eat rolled oats again. I have found Honeyville Farms to have the highest quality steel cut oats on the market and it isn't worth it to me to buy from anyone else because nobody has met the high quality standards of steel cut oats sold by Honeyville Farms. It is worth it to pay the cost as one won't find any steel cut oats of such high quality being sold by anyone else at a reasonable price than that being offered by Honeyville Farms.

I buy these oats by the sack, they are amazingly good. I read how people cook them and add all kinds of stuff to them but in reality these oats are delicious by themselves. I prefer mine straight up, with just water, I just grind mine a little bit more so they have a more Quacker oats flavor and consistency.
